Conceived originally as a moniker for movie soundtracks, by fusing the Portugese words for ‘house’ and ‘new’, Casanova is an alternative musical output for Mindskap and this release on SexOnWax Recordings is a dream 10 years in the making… Inspired by such classics as ‘Driving To Heaven’ by label boss Omid 16B, this talented producer has several releases under his belt and continues to innovate with a haunting, evolving, almost tribal take on the current house sound. An incessant, engrossing hook leads ever-forward to a deep melodic denouement, whilst Omid on remix duties adds his unique sound to the release – with additional tracks functioning as DJ tools as well as in their own right, this is a well-thought-out and intriguing package that must be heard.
