Omid 16B in preparation for a new album later this year, with ‘Free’ taken from the forthcoming album sees some refreshing activities here for the summer 2014 with remixes from the hot tipped Chris Gavin, Trent Cantrelle, Kevin Di Serna & Markel (Part1). Chris Gavin’s skill for epic soundscapes does not disappoint here, with expansive synthwork from the outset, while Trent Cantrelle keeps things lower down on a subtler, techier note like his infamous sets at studio 86 in LA where both Trent and Omid play together regularly. Kevin Di Serna’s deep, enveloping Balearic-inspired take on ‘Free’ is a sublime slice of the party season, aimed squarely at those sunrise moments Kevin is getting known for, whilst new boys on the block Markel round out the release with a well-thought-out groove-infused mix that bumps along nicely touching on the techno landscapes.
